The format of panoramic photography has been gaining popularity in magazines, newspapers, books, different types of brochures and other sales and marketing materials today. This format is characterized by its wide fields of view, its ability to capture images that can be compared to the normal fields of vision by a human eye. Photographs provide one with unhindered views of an area, giving an appearance of a panorama.
But how can one achieve taking amazing panoramic photos?
This can be done by using various cameras and techniques of panoramic photography. You can use a camera which features a short rotation or swing lens. These are cameras that have rotating lens located at its rear nodal point. Using this type of panoramic photography method provides you with a very wide angle view, like that of a photo taken from fisheye lens without its characteristic extreme line distortions.
Another way of getting wide angle photos is by using a full rotation technique. Unlike short rotation cameras which can only take up to 110 to 140 degrees of field of views, rotating panoramic cameras can take up to 360 degree views. The whole camera rotates, thereby providing you with a uniquely panoramic photography technique.
